I'm off to Ardnamurchan tomorrow for a week. So hopefully when I get back I'll have some more photos to upload here. I have a few ideas I'd like to try while I'm there providing I get decent weather. I'm staying at the western end of Ardnamurchan this time, in Portuairk so I'll be with in walking distance of Sanna Bay. Let's hope my camera's shutter doesn't fail again this time as I don't have my backup at the moment.
Activity
I haven't been as active on here recently as I'd like to be. For most of this year I have been working to try and save some money up and to buy new kit but, this means little to no time to get out anywhere. I've had a bit of a break recently when 3 weeks ago I headed off to Barra. I then came back to Kendal for a week and worked a little bit and caught up with friends before heading out to spain a week later. I quite liked Spain, though it was far too hot for me. I'm made for cold climates! Nonetheless I'd still really like to go back and explore some of the little villages inland of where we stayed, just maybe in February when it's cooler.
Travelling
In my entire life, I have never left the British Isles (okay, I'm only 20, but still!)
I'd really like to go somewhere in Europe for a few weeks, and as I'd like to take my car, I was thinking of getting the ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam and driving through Germany.
Are there any German people or people who know the country well reading this? If you are, then I'd love to know of the best locations to visit, some of the more out-the-way, lesser known places.
And if anyone has any advice for someone who will be driving on the wrong side of the road for the first time, that would be great!
Ardnamurchan
I'm off to Ardnamurchan this weekend, haven't decided if I'm going Saturday or Sunday, yet. If the weather we're getting stays the same, then hopefully there should be some very dramatic scenes.
I will try and post images while I'm away.
Work, Work, Work, College, Ardnamurchan!
So recently, all I've been doing practically every waking minute is working. It's a minimum wage, physical job just to earn a bit of money before I start college where I shall be studying Forestry.
Forestry is kind of my plan B. If the photography doesn't pay off, then it's good to have a decent qualification to fall back on and seeing as it's outdoor based, it seemed the most appropriate.
I start the course in two weeks, which will be a very welcome change from stacking supermarket shelves. Not something I can see myself putting up with for long.
Anyway, I shall be off to Ardnamurchan in late October. It has to be the best time of year
